The school organised a School Safety and Disaster Management Awareness Training Programme for students.
The programme was graced by distinguished resource persons, including Mr. Shantilal Jatiya, Supervising Inspector, Disaster Management, Dakshina Kannada; Mr. Subhash Shinde, Sub-Inspector, 10th Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Bengaluru; and members of the 10th Battalion, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Bengaluru (Karnataka), namely Mr. Nivesh Patil, Mr. Balakrishna, and Mr. Ramakrishna Ragi.
Addressing the students, Mr. Subhash Shinde explained various aspects of disaster management and demonstrated essential safety measures through practical demonstrations. Later, Mr. Shantilal Jatiya spoke about the importance of first aid and shared valuable guidance on the significance of education, perseverance, and the hard work required to achieve success. The interactive session enabled students to clarify their doubts by asking questions to the experts.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Kavya, Assistant Teacher. Mrs. Parimala M. V., Headmistress of the school, welcomed the gathering. The teaching staff and students actively participated in the programme and benefited greatly from the informative and practical training session.
