The Open House Programme is a community outreach initiative of the Karnataka Police Department aimed at creating awareness among the public and students about the functioning of police stations, safety measures, and the importance of law enforcement. As part of this initiative, the Police Department regularly organises educational visits for school and college students.
In this connection, the Class X students of SDM English Medium School, Dharmasthala, visited the Dharmasthala Police Station to gain first-hand knowledge of its functioning.
On the occasion, Constable Manjunath Patil and Mrs. Sunitha interacted with the students and explained the various functions and responsibilities of the police department. They also guided the students on the importance of growing into responsible citizens, following the law, maintaining discipline, and contributing to a safe and harmonious society.
The visit provided the students with valuable insights into the role of the police in maintaining law and order and helped foster respect for the legal system and civic responsibility.
