A professional development session on “AI in Education and AI Tools for Teaching” was organised for the teaching staff on 22nd August 2026. The session focused on introducing teachers to the potential of Artificial Intelligence in education and exploring various AI tools that can support effective teaching and learning. 

The session aimed to help teachers understand how Artificial Intelligence can be used effectively in teaching and learning and to introduce them to useful AI tools for classroom practices.

The session was conducted by Ms. Farheen Fathima, Educator, Trainer, Academic Expert and AI in Education Specialist, who has over 15 years of experience in empowering educators and integrating AI into education.

Mr. Joshva, Assistant Manager, KIPS Learning Pvt. Ltd., Mangalore Region, was also present as a guest.

The session included hands-on activities, giving teachers an opportunity to explore and experience AI tools that can support lesson planning, content creation, making videos, creating images and other teaching practices.

The teachers actively participated in the session and shared their valuable feedback and opinions about the learning experience.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of the Headmistress, Parimala M. V. Mrs. Kamala G. Hegde  compared and welcomed guests and Mrs. Padmashree proposed the vote of thanks.
