Taluk-Level Table Tennis Tournament

On July 30, 2026The Taluk-Level Table Tennis Tournament, sponsored by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of Karnataka, was held at SDM English Medium School, Dharmasthala, in collaboration with the school.
The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. Dhanya Kumar, Student Welfare Officer of SDM Educational Institutions, Dharmasthala, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the participants, he encouraged the students to accept both victory and defeat with equal grace and to participate with true sportsmanship. He also shared valuable insights on the importance of discipline, dedication, and a positive attitude in sports.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Prabhakar S., Physical Education Supervisor of Belthangady Taluk, enlightened the students about various aspects of the competition and motivated them to perform their best.
Later, Mr. Ramesh, Sports Secretary of the SDM Sports Club, spoke about the facilities and opportunities available to student athletes and inspired them by highlighting the importance of commitment and excellence in sports.
The programme was compered by Mrs. Asha Kumari P., Assistant Teacher. The gathering was welcomed by the Headmistress, Mrs. Parimala M. V., and the vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. Girish, Physical Education Teacher.
Among those present were Mr. Krishnananda Rao, President of the Belthangady Taluk Physical Education Teachers’ Association; Mr. Vid, Cluster Resource Person, Kokkada Zone; and Mr. Santosh, Physical Education Teacher of SDM English Medium School (CBSE), Ujire.
